Silk habotai
Mulberry silk Habotai, The texture is tight and fine, and the luster is plump. At first, raw silk was used as raw material, and it was made by hand with a wood machine. There are also many specifications of this fabric which can be used as the lining of wool and cashmere coats, silk dresses, etc., and slightly thicker ones can be used as shirts, dresses, etc. The sheen of Habotai is slightly less than charmeuse, but the two sides of Habotai are the same.
silk doupioni
Doupioni silk is a special kind of silk. The normal situation is that one silkworm forms a cocoon, and the Doupioni is two silkworms forming a cocoon. The Doupioni is thick, stiff and rough, with pimple lines and clearly visible knots, like a thread. There are yarn-dyed and white-woven two types; yarn-dyed Doupioni silk is divided into solid color and multi-color. White-woven could be used to do prints. The texture is medium and thick, so it is suitable for shirts, dresses, curtains, etc.
silk taffeta
Taffeta is woven from cooked silk fiber, with good luster, delicate and crisp, and feels like umbrella cloth. It is especially easy to wrinkle and form permanent creases, so it is not suitable for folding and heavy pressure, and it is often packaged in rolls. It includes three different types, they are solid color taffeta, striped taffeta and flower taffeta, all of which are traditional varieties that are famous in the world and special varieties of Suzhou and Hangzhou in our country. They are suitable for umbrellas, skirts and shirts. It is really crisp before washing, but it is terrible after being washed, so it is not suitable for silk lovers who are just getting started, and it is very troublesome to take care of.
silk/Cotton paj
The interweaving of silk and cotton yarn can not only reflect the softness and smoothness of silk, but also the closeness and comfort of cotton, and organically integrate the performance of cotton and silk, thereby improving the taste and grade of fabrics. Normal specification is 20/80 and 30/70 silk/cotton, meanwhile, customized percentage of silk composition which could be higher than 40%, then the fabric called satin face silk/cotton. Silk/cotton paj used for shirt and lining of dress, satin face silk/cotton used for high-end shirt and dress either.
silk/Wool/Cotton paj
The weave structure of this fabric is similar as silk/cotton paj, difference is it is much shining, and touching soft, which is suitable for top grade fashionable dress, the fabric could be in solid color and print pattern.
silk twill
Silk twill is a kind of relatively light and thin silk fabric. The cloth surface has obvious diagonal lines structure, which is not easy to wrinkle, slightly stiff, and soft to the touch, but the softness is still not as good as that of crepe and satin silk fabrics, so it is generally not used for bedding. Compared with crepe and satin silk fabrics, silk twill is stiffer, so it is mostly used for silk scarves and shirt. With the same specifications, the thickness of twill is thinner than other silk fabrics, and the luster is close to matt, not as shiny as crepe satin, maybe which is suitable for people with a restrained style.
silk velvet
The silk velvet fabric is bright, soft, and high gloss, and has good toughness, is not easy to fade, and has better moisture absorption and breathability. The velvet on the surface of the fabric is very soft to the touch, and the overall feeling is very delicate. It was used to make cheongsam at the beginning. It is very comfortable even when worn close to the body. It can show subtle different colors and luster under the light, increasing the fashion sense of clothing. Now slowly developing, this kind of fabric can be dyed, can be ironed or embossed, and is used in different clothing styles, such as pajamas and coats.
silk/linen paj
Silk/linen is a blend of silk and linen fiber. The fabric is relatively high-grade, has the appearance of natural linen fabric, and has the advantage of being crisp. Due to the addition of mulberry silk, it has better air permeability. However, it is prone to color shading, the shrinkage rate is unstable, and the color fastness may not be very good, therefore, in order to avoid above problem, the production process requirements are strictly controlled, so the cost is high. It is recommended that dry cleaning is best for ready-made garments.
